NordAN is cohosting and partnering at different events in Vilnius this week, looking at alcohol marketing and monitoring and at Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders.
On Wednesday, September 24, National Tobacco and Alcohol Control Coalition with NordAN launches a pilot advertising monitoring project in the Baltics.
2nd seminar on “alcohol marketing monitoring in NordAN region: from monitoring to control” takes place on Thursday on September 25 raising the main question “Who do we need to convince and how?”.
Seminar comes as a follow-up event to the first seminar on alcohol marketing monitoring in May 2013. After the first seminar a special alcohol marketing section was formed that had its first meeting at the Tallinn conference in October 2013. Lithuanian based section has worked with a NordAN position paper on alcohol marketing which will be discussed at the NordAN 2014 conference in Riga this October.
On Friday, September 26, the First Baltic Conference “Prevention of Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders” takes place in Lithuanian Parliament and is organized by the National Tobacco and Alcohol Control Coalition. NordAN is conferences international partner and Secretary General Lauri Beekmann will give a presentation on how FASD is presented at the international media.
