Baltic Assembly´s meeting on alcohol policy

On 26 January 2017 in Riga (Latvia), members of the Health, Welfare and Family Committee of the Baltic Assembly convened a meeting about alcohol policy in the Baltic States.

Members of the parliaments, governmental representatives and experts from the World Health Organisation, NordAN and Northern Dimension Partnership analysed alcohol control policy, alcohol advertisement and purchase accessibility, excise tax for alcohol, joint measure to fight against smuggling of alcohol and tobacco as well as joint social campaigns.

NordAN was represented at the meeting by Stig Erik Sørheim whose presentation focused on international experiences in alcohol policy.
