Denmark – Drinking less but smoking more

According to a new study carried out by the National Institute of Public Health, Danish teenagers drink less alcohol than they used to eight years ago.

The percentage of high school students (attending gymnasium) who drink every weekend fell from 59 percent in 1996 to 46 percent in 2014.

While high school girls drink an average of 9.2 units per week, boys consume 12.9.
