Drugs are losing popularity among students of Latvia

The number of Latvian students 15 and 16 years who have tried drugs in the past year, compared to 2011 decreased by 8%, according to the Center for the prevention and control of diseases (ADVANCES) at the end of the study.

As head of Department of the analysis of risk of disease according to the CDC Aya Pane, overall last year the drugs, tried 19% of pupils of this age.

Most often a 15-year-old and 16-year-olds in Latvia have tried marijuana and hashish — is 16.3%. 3.7% of pupils of this age tried LSD, 2.9%, and amphetamines to 2.6% ecstasy, and 2.3% for cocaine.
