Lithuanian municipalities team up with other Baltic cities to combat youth substance abuse

Vilnius plans to sign a memorandum with Latvian and Estonian cities to carry out joint projects against alcohol abuse amongst its youth populations.

According to Vilnius municipality’s draft resolution, Riga, Tallinn, as well as Kaunas, Klaipeda and Parnu, are also expected to sign the memorandum.

The cities will to carry out joint addiction prevention and other long-term projects involving health care and educational institutions.
