NordAN board had it´s first meeting of 2017 in Tallinn, Estonia on January 25-26 with a visit to Nordic Council of Minister´s (NCM) Tallinn office and to notary to register NordAN as NGO.
Board members met at the NCM Tallinn office with Mrs Merle Kuusk, responsible for welfare and social issues, to discuss office´s priorities and 2017 main events and possible cooperation options. NCM Tallinn office (as in Riga and Vilnius) have worked since 1991, representing Nordic countries and supporting various projects in Baltics.
At the board meeting future approach to pan-Nordic alcohol policy, possible project applications and European alcohol policy situation was discussed, among other matters.
Second visit of the day was made to notary where board members signed the application to register Nordic Alcohol and Drug Policy Network as official NGO in Estonia. The initial decision was made by NordAN General Assembly at the Oslo GA meeting in October 2016.
