One in ten pregnant women drink during pregnancy, according to a new survey. Women with higher education are most liberal to official recommendation on total abstinence.

Nine out of ten women completely stopped drinking when they discovered that they were pregnant, writes Aftenposten. The survey was conducted by TNS Gallup for Actis, which is drug a rehabilitation cooperative organization.

– We see that many are not aware of the potential harm, and I think we might have been too careful to tell women about the seriousness, says General Secretary Mina Gerhardsen in Actis.
